Bars, Restaurants & Cafes

Alicante airport has a good selection of cafes, bars and restaurants. Whilst most of these are located after security, you will still find three cafes, two fast food stores and a restaurant in the public areas of the airport. Caffriccio and Costa Coffee are two great cafes serving coffee in the public areas, so if you want to have a coffee before you say goodbye to friends or family members, one of these will be a great place to go.

After security, you are spoilt for choice. You will find nearly as many bars and restaurants as there are shops, with choices from Starbucks to a Carlsberg pub, the Farggi ice cream parlour to the chocoholic's delight of Valor. Valor is especially good for hot chocolate and Churros (a fried pastry based snack).

One of the most popular restaurants in the airport is La Pausa. They offer a high quality, freshly prepared Spanish cuisine, with a selection of grilled meats and fish. All of the food is prepared right in front of you, so you can watch as it is cooked. They also have a buffet section with hot and cold dishes and regional specialities. The downside is that food is rather expensive, but unfortunately, you will find food in all the restaurants are more expensive than outside of the airport.

If you are on a budget, it would probably be best to bring food with you. The cheapest place you will find is Air Food Court, which is a self-service counter selling a selection of sandwiches and snacks. It is a lot cheaper than places where you can sit down, but it is still more expensive than the equivalent store outside of the airport.
